Hey, what's up, everyone? It's Will, and Rockstar just moved up GTA VI's preload. It was supposed to start on November 12th, and now it's even earlier. Xbox players are getting an even bigger head start, too. And we finally know officially how big the game is. Rockstar is giving a map away, and there's a brand new screenshot of downtown Vice City. There is a lot to unpack. Let's get into it. So, Rockstar just put up a brand new newswire post with all of the preload details and the date is moved. Preload was supposed to start on November 12th. Rockstar's own support page said it would start at local midnight on November 12th, a full week before launch, and that's the date I've been telling you in all of my videos. Well, now Rockstar has moved it to November 10. On PS5, preloading starts Tuesday, November 10th at midnight local time. That's 2 days earlier, 9 days before launch, and it's a week from today. So, if you saw November 12th anywhere, including in my 101 facts video, forget it. It is now the 10th. I'm guessing Rockstar saw how big this download is and decided to give everybody a little extra time. Either way, I'm not complaining. You still have time to preorder, too. If you want to preload, you just need to have bought it digitally before then. Now, the Xbox side is pretty interesting. On Xbox Series X and S, preloading starts globally at the exact same moment for everybody, Tuesday, November 10th at 12:00 a.m. GMT. GMT is London time, so for everyone here in the US, that's actually Monday night. That's 7 p.m. Eastern, 6 p.m. Central, and 4 p.m. Pacific on Monday, November 9. So, if you're on Xbox in the US, you get to start downloading hours before PS5 players in your time zone. On PS5, it rolls out by time zone, so it hits midnight in New Zealand first and works its way around the world. So, if you're on PS5, you're staying up until midnight on the 10th to watch that download bar. If you're on Xbox, you're starting that Monday after dinner. Now, the size. Rockstar says the preload will need up to 212 GB depending on your device, and that lines up almost perfectly with the 210 GB PlayStation game size reported last week. That's the same account that reported yesterday that GTA 6 now needs PS 5 update 1422. So they've been on a roll. And 212 GB is about 2.4 times the size of GTA 5 on PS 5. So an original PS 5, that's roughly a third of all of your usable storage. If you're on a Series S, it's more than half of what you've got. So I would start clearing stuff off now. Delete the games you haven't touched in months, move things to an external drive, whatever you need to do. Also, make sure your PS 5 is updated before the 10th. That way nothing slows you down when preload opens. For some perspective, Red Dead 2 was about 99 GB on PS 4 and needed two discs. GTA 6 is more than double that, and we don't even know how big the day one patch is going to be yet. Rockstar also said depending on your device, so the PS 5, PS 5 Pro, and Xbox versions might each land a little differently. If you're buying physical, that date didn't change. The code in the box versions on both consoles should be at retailers starting November 12th. Remember, there is no disc. It's a code inside the box. So once you get it, you redeem it and start downloading. That also means the physical version works on a PS 5 digital edition, so you never need a disc drive. Now this next one got me pretty excited. On November 19th, Rockstar is adding a free printable GTA 6 cover art poster and a map of Leonida to the official site as a digital download. Shortly after launch, there's going to be a double-sided physical version on the Rockstar store. It's 99 cents on its own or a free gift with any Rockstar store purchase. And think about why that matters so much. GTA 5 came with a paper map in the box and so did Red Dead 2. For a lot of us, unfolding that map was part of launch day. And with GTA 6's physical version just being a code in a box, a lot of people figured that that tradition was going to be dead. And now Rockstar is basically giving everybody the map anyway. The only other way to get a Leonida map poster before this was inside of the $399 Good Time State collector's box. And And cents, that is a no-brainer. That thing is going to be right on the wall. There's also another reason this map is a big deal. Rockstar is obviously never shown us the full map of Leonida. Everything we've seen so far is fan-made or part of a leak. So Rockstar is holding the full map of Leonida until the game is out, which makes perfect sense. Rockstar also dropped an absolutely beautiful image of downtown Vice City. Of course, you can see the Sahara Arena, the gummy bear kind of floating objects out in like the bay. You can see a yacht and even like another boat that's closer up. And then the shoreline is absolutely packed with a ton of NPCs kind of like under cabanas and umbrellas. Not really a ton to gather from this screenshot. It's just absolutely beautiful. It's a super clear day and you can see the whole world is absolutely alive. So that is everything for today. Some really good updates. Now we actually know that the preload has been moved up. We're going to get a physical map. This is some amazing communication from Rockstar and also them really making some good decisions right here before launch. So now with that out of the way, I want to hear from you. Are you preloading on PS5 or Xbox? Let me know. And also are you planning to grab the 99 cent map or are you just going to print it on your own? Let me know in the comments down below. I'll be reading through all of them. And while you're at it, make sure to hit that like button, subscribe, and turn on notifications for more videos just like this one. All right, with that out of the way, thank you so much for watching and I'll catch you in the next one. [music] >> [music]
