Your getaway car can limit how much you can steal. Security footage can be used against you for the crimes you've committed. And I'm saving a completely ridiculous fact for the end because you will not believe it's real. So, here's 50 GTA 6 facts that you should know before playing. The world can literally set you up for disaster. In one of the previews, a bridge jump that seemed harmless, Lucia and Jason went to jump off a bridge with two locals that flagged them down to hang out. Next thing you know, they're jumping off the bridge like the NPCs told them. They come back up to the bridge and they've been robbed. Their car was stolen. In another preview, Lucia and Jason were about to do a robbery when two NPCs came in and robbed the same location they were about to rob. You can walk into a store planning to rob it, but if the NPC does it before you, I guess you got to rob the NPC that's robbing the store, right? Imagine this, an NPC drops their hat and glasses on the floor from a scuffle that you may have been involved with or not. The cool thing about this, as Jason or Lucia, you can then pick up their hat and glasses and walk away. Free clothing. NPCs can also potentially try to take your weapon from your hands. We sort of see something like this from the jewelry store robbery that takes place in one of the previews, where carrying a gun can also provoke an NPC to intervene. So, just because you have a weapon in your hands, not all of these NPCs value their life. We already know that social posts in GTA 6 are super important. And we also know that they can lead us to real events that are happening in real time. So, if you see something on your social feed that's taking place, it's actually taking place in real time from when you see it. And you have a certain amount of time to get there before it ends. Every robbery needs a different approach, but there's more to that statement. Once you've picked a target, the way security works becomes part of the job. Some footage in GTA 6 can be erased locally, but one preview described a jewelry store whose recording had gone to cloud. Reaching the backroom wasn't going to make that evidence of the security camera footage disappear. But a quiet robbery can involve snap gun entry, disabling cameras, security systems, and taking register cash without ever hitting an alarm. But keep in mind, explosives in GTA 6 also can damage the insides of a safe. So, there's some precious loot inside, if you decide to go loud, you're going to have less of a take because, well, explosives damage goods. Makes sense. Rob Nelson, one of the top head honchos at Rockstar, pointed out that before finding a combination to the safe he was trying to open, that sometimes the fastest way to get something open can leave you with less to take home. Meaning that if the police are waiting for you outside and you got to get out of there real quick, you may not have time to go looking for a combination code that is usually in the room you're in, on a sticky note or on the wall or somewhere around in the area that you're in. And sometimes fences can even text you the code combinations, which is pretty cool. So, check your phone text messages. The map can show you cash and drug quantities at gang compounds. So, if you want to rob them, you can because stolen drugs can be sold at the fence. Getting money is only a small part of the job that you have to complete. And here's why. You can finish a robbery and still have work to do before the money's safe. Cash on your character is separate from banked money. And Rob Nelson warned that getting wasted can cost you what you're carrying. Despite requiring a physical ATM, escaping and securing the money are two separate jobs in itself. Vehicle choice limits loot capacity. The smaller the vehicle, the smaller it can hold. The bigger the vehicle, the more it can hold. It's pretty simple. Vans and trucks can obviously carry more bags and loot than a motorcycle can. I think that was pretty obvious though, right? Some parts of GTA 6 story will make you collect more money before you progress in the story. Now, I'm not sure if that's because you have to buy garages or safe houses, but there is a soft cap on how much you can progress in the story until you've purchased as much as you possibly can. Nelson has said that boosting cars and robbing places might be completely necessary just to move the mission flow forward. So, that gives crimes in between the main story an actual purpose instead of just robbing stuff because Jason Lucia need cash to survive. And you have to decide how they're going to get that cash without getting caught. Stealing cars in GTA 6 is super fun, but damaging a car in GTA 6 that you want to sell to a fence is not a good thing because the fence will pay you less for the car that was originally valued a few thousand. If you damage it, it could be worth a few hundred, which is not really fun. Your car has more than one job. That turns the car you choose into more than just a part of the plan. But here's what else matters because your vehicle scanner on your phone allows you scan for alarms, trackers, resale value, cost of registering a car, or spend money making it your own because you were able to turn stolen cars into personal vehicles. But you have to have the right requirements. Everyone loves stealing supercars, but some high-end vehicles have trackers or if you get to a certain speed below, let's say 50 miles an hour, the tracker will go off signaling to the police where the car currently is making you easier to catch. Be aware of that. Temporary stolen cars though get a gray radar icon and disappear after restarting. [music] But garage storage is a separate case entirely. Early storage accommodates your three cars. Buying garages expands that capacity and yes, you can buy garages. Mod shops also specialize in certain vehicles. One location cannot do all the customization though you want for all your vehicles. Every customization shop is different. Garages can protect stolen cars before ownership registration. So let's say you find a car that you absolutely love and you know you want to keep this car. Well, you can throw that car in your garage and when you have the availability to defense to make it your own, you can do that in the future. So you can park a stolen car in your garage without having to worry about the cops getting any extra heat. But I like that feature. Safehouses though are completely different. They follow story progression and you cannot purchase a safehouse. You will technically never really own a safehouse or a house in GTA 6. From the reports we've seen, you can only buy garages. Selling vehicles at the Pay 'n' Spray triggers a local cooldown meaning you can't sell many cars at the same that are buying vehicles. So make sure you change up which Pay 'n' Sprays and locations you go to. You cannot steal cars outside of friends' businesses. That includes outside of Draequan's club, the Jack of Hearts. There might be a parking lot filled with beautiful cars, but the game does not let you steal cars from there cuz you you know, homies don't steal from homies. You just can't do that. But what happens if you leave your car in GTA 6? Well, your equipment has its own rules once you leave the vehicle. Jason Lucia can physically hand each other different weapons, which is pretty cool. You can have two long guns. That means one in your back and one in your hands. Default aiming in GTA 6 leans more towards free aim with adjustable assistance. Police car trunks contain assault rifles, shotguns, and often armor, too. The new focus meter distinguishes lethal and non-lethal areas in a person's body and in a vehicle. So, if you're in a vehicle chase and you use your focus meter, you can also disable the vehicle like its tires, its engine block, and even its gas caps. GTA 6 has suppressive fire, where you can suppress in a direction and lets you deliberately shoot nearby to frighten or confuse someone and buy escape time. So, you can shoot your gun in the air or at the floor and scare someone into being able to get away. And that includes potentially officers that aren't really locked in, ready to go and do what they got to do on the job. In GTA 6, we've got two characters, Jason and Lucia. That means we've got two lives to manage, two separate characters to juggle. Take Jason and Lucia to the gym together and both can work out together. It's sort of like a two-for-one special. So, if you want to make Jason in shape, Lucia will also be in shape cuz she'll come work out with you. So, then one trip can take care of both partners. You don't have to do it separately, which is pretty nice. Ignoring your partners' ordinary text messages like, "How's your day going?" can affect the relationship. The preview saw an example where Lucia was asking Jason if she's going to be coming home or staying out late. A quick reply is enough. You don't have to give some lengthy message back, but she just wants to see you responding. You can spend your day doing your own thing while still acknowledge that somebody is actively waiting to hear from you, which is an interesting concept for a game, but apparently it's super good. But playing story missions together as Jason and Lucia may not be enough to keep the relationship alive. So, if you want to have something romantic between the two partners, make sure you're going the extra distance by hanging out with the partner outside of crime. But of course, if romance isn't your thing and you decide to let the romance fade, it does not remove their ability to work together. No matter what, they will be criminal partners through and through, but you get to decide how invested you are in the relationship without assuming you're switched off the other characters uh combat supports. You don't have to worry about like one day going out there and not having uh Jason's back or Lucia having your back. You will most likely always have your partner available at all times, even if you don't want to be romantically involved with them. That's a thumbs up for your wife at least, because you can send photos to your partner. I know that sounds crazy. If you were playing as Jason, you can send selfies to Lucia. You just can't post them publicly. With how hot things are for Jason and Lucia and the cops actively looking for them, you have to pay attention to your surroundings, and that includes people and places. Salons in GTA 6 have exclusive hairstyles or signature hairstyles to their specific shop. So, let's say you go to a barber shop in Vice City for Jason, it's going to have different hair that would be in Ambrosia as an example. Two completely different areas with two completely different shops, which is cool because exploring another neighborhood can reveal something that your current character or place that you go get your haircut doesn't have to offer. Sort of like It's sort of like cheating on your barber, actually. That's I don't I don't know how I feel about that. People can notice you eavesdropping in GTA 6. So, if you're being too snoopy, they'll know. If you stand too close to a conversation, somebody may turn around and ask what you're doing. They're like, "Why are you listening to our conversation?" Which is super interesting. NPCs in GTA 6 are all different heights, weights, and sizes. Rob Nelson explained that shared movement previously restricted body variety because interaction stopped lining up in GTA 5, but in GTA 6, things are totally different. Tall, short, skinny, whatever, all all the sizes of people are now in GTA 6, and all their animations work amongst each other without having to do much. When you're playing as one of the protagonists, the other protagonist will follow their normal routine. Rob Nelson said switching to Jason can find him at the safehouse or out doing things, and one switch caught him in the shower. Leaving somebody at home doesn't mean they'll remain exactly where you put them the last time of them. They're going to do what they would do if they were actually alive in GTA 6, which is pretty crazy. Some cinematic-looking scenes actually retain player's control. You remember the extended look, there was many scenes where we were inside of an elevator. These elevators are used as loading screens, but you can still maintain player control where you can move around in these places without having to worry about breaking the cinematic because they're technically gameplay. Rob Nelson described moving through the hallway and petting the dog and then entering a full scene and then fighting. Those are all scenes that we saw in the extended look, but there's different levels of control that you have of the character during those scenes. Now, beyond the streets and beyond Vice City, there's a different kind of collection that we're going to be focusing on and that is hunting in the wildlife. Because studying animals gives you information and contributes to a collection mechanic without requiring you to kill them. If you ever played Red Dead Redemption 2, you know that system comes from Red Dead. The hunting system that we've all come to love. You can investigate and document what you find alongside the players who want to hunt them. Fishing, though, is a catch and release system. There is no inventory for catching fish. I'm sorry, guys. Hunting can earn you money, though, through a contact you get through Jason. We also got wildlife rendering supports bioluminescence. Luminescence. This is a confirmed thing that Rockstar is actually really excited to talk about because animals produce their own light. And Rockstar hasn't named any particular species that do this, but you can only imagine which ones do. We also have rare, discoverable, and legendary animals that'll be a part of the animal compendium, so look forward to that. And of course, the identities of the legendary and discoverable animals has been kept a secret, but just know there's hundreds of species in GTA 6. Even having like monkeys, that's a pretty big deal because having more than alligators to surprise us is definitely up Rockstar's sleeve. Red Dead Redemption 2 even had a vampire, so it's safe to say that we're going to have some crazy stuff in GTA 6. Leonida is more than just sunny weather and beaches because if you travel up north, you'll often find different conditions around the map. And of course, vehicle culture. It can rain one place and be sunshine in another. And if you visit after the rain, you'll notice there's puddles on the ground and the ground is still wet from the rain. Buildings interrupt wind, which moves hair, rooftop debris, water, and swamp grass. So, the wind in GTA 6 looks realistic. The up north of Ambrosia, you'll find the northern countryside, which includes a mud park party for vehicles with two wheels or four wheels. And we've seen a lot of screenshots and videos of this very strange area. Because Rockstar has also described a destruction derby racing on floodlit oval tracks at night, which could be super exciting. Rockstar's northern Leonida research even included gated communities with built-in planes with their own airstrips. Now, these are very different areas that I have never seen. None of my neighbors own a personal landing strip. So, that's how you guys know I'm really jobless. I I'm not stacking fat cash like these guys. Now, of course, the last fact, the most ridiculous thing that we have heard in GTA 6 that we had to save for the ending, and that is in GTA 6, if a person is walking their dog and they pick up the dog poop into a doggy bag, you will then be able to punch the doggy bag out of the NPC's hand, take the doggy bag, and beat him with THE DOGGY BAG WITH THE POOP in it. Now, listen, I don't make the rules, I just read the facts. Let me know you guys think about these 50 facts in GTA 6.
